Tilly’s Shop was born from love, loss, and resilience.
In January 2022, my world changed forever when my 18 year old daughter lost her life to Osteosarcoma cancer. Grief reshaped every part of my life, and learning how to move forward as a bereaved mother was incredibly difficult. During one of the hardest seasons I’ve ever faced, my family gently encouraged me to lean into something I had always loved — creating.
I have always been crafty at heart, and creating with my hands became a way to cope, to heal, and to honor my daughter’s memory. What began as a small creative outlet soon turned into something much bigger than I ever imagined.
How Tilly’s Shop Began
In the months following my daughter’s passing, I took a leap of faith and started Tilly’s Shop as a small, home-based business in New Mexico. My first year was spent attending local pop-up markets, meeting people in my community, and sharing handmade pieces created with care and intention.
Those early days were filled with learning, growing, and slowly finding confidence again. Over time, I began gaining clients, receiving custom orders, and building relationships with people who trusted me to create meaningful pieces for their lives.
What started as a way to keep going became a purpose — and a reminder that even in loss, something beautiful can grow.

Each item is carefully made from start to finish, with attention to detail and respect for the story behind it. No two orders are ever the same — because no two stories are the same.

Since opening Tilly’s Shop, my workload and client base have continued to grow — something I am incredibly grateful for. What started with local markets has expanded into ongoing custom orders and a growing community of customers who support my small business.
